December 07 | Chemically Challenged
Melissa came up to Fairbanks to visit this last spring. While she was here she asked me to color her hair. We went to the store and chose a light red color for the main part of her hair and then a darker red for accents. We dyed the first color and it came out much darker than we were wanting. So... we went back to the store and got more dye, this time a lighter color. Still didn't come out like we wanted. After several more trips to the store, several more boxes of hair color, and 6am the next morning... Melissa's hair was a flaming red and orange specimen of something that you'd expect to see in a nuclear reactor. We had such a good time that night...

I remember when she came back and told us all that story...she was so mad that it didn't work out. Me and her did something like that too, except I went blonde and she went dark brown...we hated each other for it.
At one point, didn't the color look just as it had after the first coloring?
This might also be a good time to point out that everybody, including Melissa, loved her hair after the FIRST coloring. But...have color, will dye. And five boxes of color later...
